Port Macquarie Race Club

Port Macquarie Race Club hosts around 23 meetings per year. The track is situated on the Oxley Highway, just 3km west of the Port Macquarie CBD. The Club offers excellent facilities to the public, with the modern air conditioned Ivan Livermore Stand, a large fully covered betting ring with 9 m² video screen, and outstanding views of racing from the stand and hillside spectator areas.

The racecourse reopened in June 2016 after undergoing a 14 months, $3.7M reconstruction. The kikuyu turf track is 1580m in circumference with cambered turns and a 350m straight run to the post. Racing is conducted over distances 1000m, 1100m, 1200m, 1500m, 1800m and 2000m.

The annual Cup Carnival is conducted from late September to early October, with the highlight being the $120,000 Carlton Mid Port Macquarie Cup run on the Friday after the Labour Day long weekend. Another important race meeting is held in February each year and features the $70,000 Queen of the North Handicap for Fillies & Mares.
