Parkes racecourse is situated 370km from Sydney, The track is sand base and is a fully irrigated kikuyu turfed track, with wide sweeping turns. A green jewel in a sometimes otherwise arid landscape, lovely areas for picnics on course.
Track Details – Track circumference 2000m
A large track giving all horses a chance at turns mostly flat with slight inwards camber, slight rises at 1300m point in back stretch and again from turn into straight to winning post. 1400 start considered excellent.
