The Nambucca River Jockey Club conducts five race meetings a year at Bowraville. The Race Track at Bowraville is set in beautiful surroundings and offers patrons a picturesque country atmosphere to enjoy country racing.
The main meetings are the Bowraville Cup which is held in September and is very popular with locals and visitors alike. The Boxing Day meeting is held in honour of Phillip Hughes and is named in his memory. This meeting is also very popular with many former locals who attend to renew old friendships. Other meetings are held in March, June and November.
Vending stalls operate at all meetings with good food and beverage being available. The bookmakers ring is always well patronised and a TAB outlet is also on course.
