Murrumbidgee Turf Club

Murrumbidgee Turf Club was formed in 1849 and staged its first Wagga Gold Cup in 1873, which was won by Mountaineer.

The club holds 25 meetings a year on its course proper and can also race on its Riverside (inner) track.

Highlighting the MTC’s racing calendar is the Wagga Gold Cup Carnival, with its major two days conducted in the first week of May.

The feature races are the Listed $150,000 Wagga Gold Cup (2000m) and the $100,000 XXXX Gold Wagga Town Plate (1200m).
