The Moulamein Race Club holds its annual race meeting on the second Saturday in December
The small, remote town of Moulamein, see’s their population swell 4-fold with a huge following of race goers attending this pre-Christmas event. Set on a spacious and relatively untouched rural reserve, this makes for a truly authentic country race meeting like no other.
The day includes a 6 race programme run on a dirt track, the 100m straight is lined with private, track-side & fully catered marquees. The crowd’s attire is everything from relaxed country, right through to some of the most breath-taking country races fashions, all chasing the highly prized title of queen of Fashions on the Field.
The crowd have all the atmosphere they could want with our unique 4 sided bough shed bar, the shade of the box trees, Bookies & TAB onsite, and the sound of a solo ‘Muso’ filtering through the crowd. There is plenty of choice, with several food vans to satisfy the taste buds. It is a real family affair should you choose, with plenty of free entertainment for the kids including face-painting, jumping castles, magicians and plenty more.
