Marthaguy Picnic Race Club

Set in the remote village of Quambone, the Marthaguy Picnic Races are held in north western NSW at the Gateway to the Macquarie Marshes, two and a half hours north of Dubbo.

The Marthaguy Picnic Race Club has a long racing history, with the first races held in 1908. After a brief hiatus due to rain, the races are now back as a regular event in May.

Race Day in Quambone is a family friendly affair, and includes a bar, luncheon, local and interstate betting, Fashions on the Field and a free jumping castle for the kids.

Primitive camping facilities are available in Quambone, camping is also available on the racecourse grounds (in the dedicated camping area).  Camping is FREE.
