Kempsey Race Club

The Kempsey club first ran the Kempsey Cup in 1966 with the late Ken Howard calling and the race was supported by local business identities.

After many years in recess the Kempsey Club was reformed in 1996.

Initially the club was called the Macleay River Turf Club until 1992 when it was renamed Kempsey Race Club.

Situated only kilometres from the town centre the Kempsey Race Club conducts 5 race meetings each year including ANZAC Day and the Akubra Kempsey Cup usually held in early November.
