The Ballina Jockey Club has a history dating over 110 years and has been an important part of the Ballina community.
Ballina Jockey Club is located at Ballina on the beautiful North Coast of NSW, approximately one hour south of the Gold Coast with Byron Bay in close proximity.
Ballina Jockey Club is a major regional training facility with approximately 150 horses in work at any one time and holds 16 race meetings per year including The Point Ballina Cup which is run in mid-September each year attracting larges fields and crowds.
Other major feature days include the Byron Bay Cup, Boxing Day Cup and the Iris Nielsen Ladies Invitation Race in which attracts some of the best lady jockeys from Australasia. So whether it’s for racing, functions, conferences, special events big or small The Ballina Jockey Club is ‘Right on Track’.
The Jockey Club is located only 2km away from the town centre. Ballina is the largest coastal town in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. The town is adjacent to the Richmond River and over 30km of white sandy beaches. The town is a major service centre for the surrounding district and has a resident population of over 10,000 people.
